Year R

Important - If Link 1 does not work please try using Link 2. Both go to the same video or piece of work.

We have put todays work in bold to make it easier for you to find.

Welcome to the Year R page for Remote Learning. Here you will find links to the lessons your child can do at home. There may be subjects where the whole weeks lessons are uploaded at once. Please try and spread them out over the week so your child does a lesson on that subject every day.

Lessons will be split into the subject areas to make it easier for you to find and keep track of which lessons you have done. Please do email in any evidence of work to your class teacher as we would love to see how your child has done with the lessons. You can also contact us to help with any misconceptions that may arise from the work.

To contact us or submit work please send it to you child's class email address.

Colouring/ Patterning

It is highly beneficial for your child to spend at least 10 minutes a day doing some colouring or patterning. Colouring helps to increase dexterity and finger strength whereas patterning will allow your child to practice the pen movements that ultimately lead to letter formation. Patterning is best done with a fine tipped colouring pen. You can find examples of some patterns the children can do HERE. One of the most beneficial patterns is doing circles but please ensure you encourage your child to try and do them anti clockwise starting from the top of the circle.

You can do colouring or patterning in any colouring books you have at home or alternatively you can print some Traditional Tales pictures HERE.
